Thank You for Joining Us
Thank you for attending Delightful Density. We’re grateful to share this conversation with a room full of people who care deeply about the future of cities, neighbourhoods, and community life.
As Australia continues to densify, we believe the challenge is no longer just about delivering more housing, it’s about creating places where people genuinely feel connected, supported, and proud to belong.
This session explored what happens after construction finishes:
- How do people actually build relationships in high-density communities?
- What makes residents stay long-term?
- What role does social infrastructure play in reducing loneliness and strengthening belonging?
- And how can developers, councils, asset managers, and placemakers create the conditions for community to thrive over time?
Using the story of the Little BIG Foundation and the Flour Mill precinct in Summer Hill as a case study, we shared lessons from a resident-led model that has grown into one of Sydney’s most active community hubs.
