We’re excited to share that Little BIG House is introducing a new Expression of Interest (EOI) process for all events - and our first round is now open!
This new approach means we can plan ahead, make space for more of the ideas our community loves, and give every host a fair and simple way to get involved.
Why the change?
Over the past year, Little BIG House has become a vibrant place for creativity, learning and connection, thanks to all the incredible people who’ve shared their time, energy and ideas.
As we’ve grown, so has the number of people wanting to host events. Moving to an EOI process helps us stay organised, align activities with our community mission, and make sure there’s a good balance across days and themes.
It also means we can support hosts better with clear timelines, an induction before starting, and visibility for their events once they’re up and running.
How it will work
There are now three EOI rounds each year. Each round is open for applications for around two months, followed by selection and induction before events begin.
For our first round, here’s what to know:
- EOIs open 1 December – 31 January
- Successful hosts notified mid-February
- Mandatory induction 24 February
- New events begin from March 2026
We’re especially interested this round in events that:
- Engage young people (under 18s)
- Engage Men: Programs that attract men.
- Run during weekday afternoons (12–5 pm)
- Bring people together through creativity, gentle movement, or food
What it means to host
Hosting an event at Little BIG House means being part of something special. It’s not just about running an activity - it’s about helping people feel seen, supported and connected.
As a host, you’ll:
- Attend an induction session before your first event
- Hold a valid Police Check (and WWCC if working with under 18s)
- Have your approved event listed on our website and featured in our community newsletter to help spread the word
