The Side Quest Society
Where teens connect — no phones, just human interaction.

Some teens light up in a big group. Plenty don’t. All they really need is a room where they can show up as themselves, no pressure to be anything but who they are — and something better to do than scroll.

That’s what this is.

The Side Quest Society is a weekly drop-in space for 12–18 year-olds at Little BIG House, Flour Mill of Summer Hill. Phones go away, small groups form, and each week brings something different — improv, teambuilding games, guest speakers, trivia, board and card game nights.

There’s no pressure to do more or less than the person next to you. Teens join in at whatever level feels right, and leave having made a friend, learned something, or at least laughed properly for an hour.

Why it works

Confidence isn’t taught — it’s built, by doing slightly brave things somewhere it’s safe to get it wrong. Trying improv when you’re not a performer. Talking to someone new. Being on a team with people you didn’t choose. Alongside the laughs, these are the small moments that build real social skills and lasting friendships.

Who it’s for

Any teen aged 12–18 after a genuine sense of belonging — whether they’re naturally social or find bigger groups tricky. No experience or existing friend group required, just a willingness to show up.

Sessions run weekly, Tuesdays 4:30–5:45pm, and spots are limited — book a session below.
