The Firepit

Cost: $40

Organiser: Kevin
Level 1

16 Flour Mill Way, Summer Hill
Sydney, NSW 2130 Australia

The Firepit is a small, committed group of 12–18 year-olds who show up each week at Little BIG House, Flour Mill of Summer Hill, to work on the things that matter but rarely get taught — our relationship with money, quieting the inner critic, who we want to be, and how to communicate better.

It’s not a class and it’s not therapy. It’s a room where teens engage as equals with others who are on the same journey.

How it works

Each week brings a different theme, drawn from the community, the teens themselves, or whatever feels important right now. Sessions follow the same rhythm: a quick emotional check-in and acknowledgment of the past week’s wins, then a deeper dive into that week’s theme through conversation and activity, wrapping up with a task everyone can carry into the week ahead — specific to where they’re at.

Why it’s different

The Firepit is a vetted group. Every participant applies, and every participant is there because they’re ready to take that next step, not just fill a seat. The trust in the room is the whole point, built by keeping the group small, committed, and genuinely safe to be honest in.

Who it’s for

Teens aged 12–18 ready to go a little deeper than a casual hangout, and willing to commit to the full journey rather than dropping in when it suits.

The Firepit is application-only and runs as an 8-week block, weekly on Wednesdays 4:30–5:45pm.
