Meet Sarah: Our New Outdoor Fitness Instructor at the Little BIG House

by Little BIG

We’re thrilled to welcome Sarah to the Little BIG House as our new Outdoor Fitness instructor! Starting May 5th, Sarah will be guiding our free classes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 7:15 AM — open to all fitness levels.

Sarah’s approach to movement is heart and energy. For her, it’s not just about reps or routines, it’s about connection: to your own body, your energy, and the people around you. She brings a calm, grounded presence to every class, the kind that instantly puts you at ease. Her gift lies in meeting people exactly where they are and gently encouraging them forward. So, if you’re ready to really push yourself to your limits, Sarah will encourage you there and if you’re proud you’re moving today, that is ok too.

Originally from South Africa, Sarah has lived in London and now calls Sydney home. Before she became a trainer, she worked in the fast-paced world of private banking, but after becoming a mum, life invited her to pause, and she listened. As her kids grew, she found herself spending more and more time at the gym after school drop-offs, soaking in the energy, movement, and the joy of it all. That daily ritual eventually led her to a whole new path.

Now a proud mum of three, two of whom are already at university, Sarah brings her full, beautiful life experience into her work. She understands that life isn’t always tidy or predictable, and neither is your energy. She’s quick to laugh, deeply empathetic, and brings a gentle kind of strength that helps people feel safe, capable, and seen.

As a mum and a coach, Sarah knows the magic of being present, of paying attention, and of cheering people on without overwhelming them. Her coaching is rooted in real life — in early mornings, school drop-offs, tired days, and small victories.

Outside of the Little BIG House, you might find her going for a run, sipping a skim milk latte, or making a cozy meal to share with her family. She loves Italian food, beach walks, and has a not-so-secret fondness for reality TV, Coldplay, and Fun Day lollies (her go-to post-workout treat — or a banana if she’s feeling extra healthy!).

And like so many of us, she has those mornings where the bed feels extra warm, and the motivation is hiding. But she always comes back to that feeling, the post-workout buzz, the endorphins, the lift in your mood, that makes it all worth it.

We can’t wait for you to meet her, move with her, and start your mornings with the warmth and energy of the community.

Here’s more about Sarah:

I am joining the Little BIG community on May 5th 2025.

I am originally from South Africa.

My favourite thing about the Little BIG House is the supportive community that has been created by everyone coming together.

The program I am running is the 6.30am fitness classes.

I would describe my outdoor fitness classes as a mixture of cardio and strength training with a few surprises thrown in.

People can expect sessions that are fun, energising and full of variety.

I hope this will make participants feel happy, stronger and full of those good endorphins to start the day.

I like to motivate people by encouragement and praise.

The one piece of equipment I can’t live without is a dumbbell.

The top thing on my bucket list is to have a home full of rescue dogs.

One thing not many people know about me is that I hated sport at school, I used to hide in the bathroom so I didn’t have to attend lessons.

I love to spend time with my family, dog and friends. Drinking coffee is also an important part of my day.

I am most grateful for my good health.

The last little BIG action I did for someone else was to go for a walk and chat with my elderly neighbour.
