When did you last get asked “how are you?” — and actually answer honestly?
About the Event Open Ground is a monthly men’s group held on the last Wednesday of every month, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Little BIG House, Flour Mill of Summer Hill. It’s a simple, structured space to sit down, check in, and say what’s actually going on — no agenda, no performance, just real conversation among men who get it. In a city where loneliness in Australia is quietly on the rise, this kind of gathering matters more than most people admit.
Who Should Attend Men of all ages and backgrounds are welcome — whether you’re going through something specific or just haven’t had a proper conversation in a while. If you’ve ever wondered how to make friends as an adult, felt disconnected from your community, or simply want to be around other blokes who are also doing the work of showing up, this is for you. No experience with men’s groups required.
What’s the Cost Open Ground is completely free. Bookings are required — grab your spot at events.humanitix.com/open-ground.
About the Host Open Ground is facilitated by Little BIG host, Toby, who brings real, hands-on experience running men’s groups in New Zealand. He holds a Diploma in Counselling through AIPC and additional certifications, underpinned by a genuine passion for men’s wellbeing.
About the Venue Little BIG House sits inside the beautiful Flour Mill of Summer Hill, right in the heart of Inner West Sydney — one of the area’s most loved community hubs. It’s a place built around social connection, shared workspaces, and the belief that neighbours who know each other make better communities.
