Voice Gym (65+): Stronger Voices for Everyday Life

Cost: $15
Organiser: Madeleine
Ground Floor

16 Flour Mill Way, Summer Hill
Sydney, NSW 2130 Australia

About the Event Voice Gym (65+) is a friendly small-group session designed to help older adults build stronger, clearer voices for everyday communication.

As we age, and especially in retirement, many people find they are speaking less than they once did. Like any muscle in the body, the voice can lose strength if it is not exercised regularly. Over time, this may lead to a quieter voice, vocal fatigue, or difficulty being heard in group settings.

Voice Gym focuses on practical, evidence-based voice strengthening exercises, simple calling activities, and light shared sound in a relaxed and supportive environment. It is not a choir and it is not therapy – it is a structured and encouraging way to keep your voice active, confident, and strong.

Who should attend Voice Gym is designed for people aged 65+ who have noticed changes in their voice, such as reduced volume, vocal tiredness, or difficulty being heard in conversation.

It is suitable for both men and women who would like a practical, guided approach to maintaining vocal strength and confidence for everyday conversations, community involvement, and social participation.

No singing experience is needed. Sessions are seated, accessible, and welcoming to all levels.

What’s the cost

$15 casual session or $85 for a 6-week pass.
