About the Event: Embodying Authentic Communication is a three-part program designed to help you become a more confident, authentic, and dynamic communicator—both personally and professionally. Drawing on powerful tools from NIDA Acting techniques, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Somatics, Transpersonal Counselling, and Life Coaching, this series offers practical ways to manage nerves, strengthen presence, and speak with clarity.

Sessions run on Wednesdays from 9am–11am at the Little BIG House, Flour Mill of Summer Hill:

  • 30th October – Physical Presence & Structuring a Presentation
  • 6th November – Vocal Technique, Managing Nerves & The Inner Critic
  • 13th November – Putting it all into Practice – Rehearsal & Presenting

Who Should Attend: This program is for anyone who wants to improve public speaking, overcome nerves, and connect more authentically. Whether you’re part of community groups, local initiatives, or professional networks in the Inner West Sydney, these sessions will give you tools to strengthen relationships, build social connections, and increase your confidence.

About the Host: The program is led by Kate Sherman, a multidisciplinary performance maker, director, educator, and integrative somatic coach. With decades of experience across theatre, education, and somatic practices, Kate empowers people to expand their presence, let go of stress, and unlock their potential. About the Venue: Hosted at the Little BIG House in the Flour Mill of Summer Hill, this event is part of our ongoing community programs that bring neighbours, families, and groups together. The Little BIG House is a hub for social connection, shared workspaces, and community activities that foster a sense of belonging across the Inner West.
