Volunteers with lived experience are there to listen with empathy\, offer gentle support\, and\, if appropriate\, assist with safety planning or warm referrals to other services. \n\n\n\nWho should attend \n\n\n\nThis space is for adults who may be experiencing loneliness\, mental distress\, suicidal thoughts\, or simply need human connection. You don’t need a diagnosis or referral — just come as you are. If you’re wondering how to stop being lonely\, how to meet new people\, or need a safe place to land\, this space is for you. \n\n\n\nWhat’s the cost \n\n\n\nFree. This is a community-supported service\, ensuring access for anyone who needs it. \n\n\n\nAbout the host \n\n\n\nSae Space is peer-led and lived-experience driven\, supported by Roses in the Ocean\, a national leader in peer-led suicide prevention. Our Little Beer House has one simple mission: to bring people together over a delicious beer! It is all about community and connection at the Little Beer House. We may not have beer industry backgrounds\, but we sure do have a big appreciation for the taste and we’re excited to share this with you.  \n\n\n\nIn this event you’ll get: \n\n\n\n+ several tastings of beers\, with the line up of styles changing for each event and ranging from your classic pale ales\, to bold delicious NEIPAs\, WCIPAs\, wild ales\, naughty stouts and more! (Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with some of these styles\, we’ll dive into them during the event and possibly all learn something new together!) \n\n\n\n+ awesome discussions around the different styles of beer\, breweries and latest beer news \n\n\n\n+ the opportunity to rate the beers you taste during the event\, which will also determine the range of beers for our ‘best of’ event at the end of the year \n\n\n\n+ opportunities to connect with other people in the community who also love beer and maybe even make some new brew buddies… \n\n\n\nLight snacks (e.g. nuts\, chips\, etc) will also be provided.  \n\n\n\nThis is a strictly 18+ event because alcohol is involved. Purchasing a ticket is a form of declaring you are above the legal age to purchase and consume alcohol (this will also be verified at the event). For those with allergies\, please note we can not guarantee both beers and snacks will be free of any particular or common allergens.
