Do you have unused or wrecked furniture at home that you want to restore? Deb from Hampton & French is here to help you! Less than 200 meters from the Little B.I.G. House, Deb will help you upcycle your belongings, make them look brand new, and give them a new life.

“Hampton & French have been a part of the community since November 2020. We were the first tenants to occupy the commercial space on the ground floor of the Wheat Silos. The Local community, and particularly the Flour Mill residents, share our concern about waste reduction. By upcycling used furniture we can reduce unnecessary waste while taking pleasure in restoring and beautifying furniture that still has value and purpose.

The workshops, held in the Silo Studio, provide a space for participants to be creatively energised while learning the tips and tricks to turn their furniture from drab to fab!

Hampton & French are committed to bring people together, meet like-minded folk, and enjoy the benefits of creative arts and crafts. Like The Little B.I.G House, our focus is to bring people together, create community, and stimulate wellbeing. Upcycling is a positive environmental step, while being creative improves one’s general well-being.

During the coming year, we will be looking to expand our workshop program to include more than just furniture upcycling, as the Silo Studio is such an inspiring space. I welcome suggestions from the community as to what interests them or what new skill they would like to learn to do.

Hampton & French may look like a retail outlet, but we feel that we offer much more, and we’ve received much more from the community than could ever have been expected – friendship and support.”
