DESCRIPTION:Join Come As You Art for a welcoming art therapy workshop at Little BIG House (Summer Hill)\, facilitated by trauma-informed Art Therapist Emma Fitzgerald. \n\n\n\nThese workshops will run monthly on the third week of each month throughout the year\, creating a gentle\, consistent space where people can connect\, create\, and simply exist – exploring and expressing whatever feels present in a supportive environment. Tickets will be offered at an accessible rate to help keep the space open to the community. \n\n\n\nEach session includes: \n\n\n\n• A short introduction to art therapy and group check-in• One hour or more of open\, process-based artmaking using diverse materials• Optional sharing and reflection time• Light refreshments provided \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nArrival & Timing\n\n\n\nPlease arrive from 5:45pm onwards to allow time to settle in. \n\n\n\nTo help maintain a safe\, contained and confidential therapeutic environment\, doors will close at 6:15pm sharp and no entries will be permitted after this time. \n\n\n\nArriving on time is essential\, as late arrivals can disrupt the group process and sense of safety for participants. Thank you for your understanding and care for the space. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAccess to the Venue\n\n\n\nWe will be entering via the wheelchair access side of the building at Little BIG House. However\, the workshop space is located on the first floor\, which requires taking a set of stairs to reach the room. \n\n\n\nDue to other events occurring in the building at the same time\, we are unable to relocate to a ground-floor space. As the building is heritage-listed\, a lift has not been able to be installed. Unfortunately\, this means wheelchair access to the workshop space is not possible at this time. \n\n\n\nWe understand this may be limiting and truly appreciate your understanding. Please keep this in mind when registering\, and feel free to reach out if you would like to discuss any access questions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConsent\n\n\n\nParticipants will be asked to sign a brief consent form before the start of each workshop as they enter the space. \n\n\n\nSuitable for adults (18+) – all are welcome.Please advise of any access or sensory needs during registration. \n\n\n\nWe hope this can become a calm monthly ritual – a place to pause\, explore creativity\, and feel part of a gentle shared experience.

DESCRIPTION:About the EventCreative Reflections is a monthly storytelling workshop that explores identity\, values\, memories and meaning through writing\, collage\, art and other creative forms. Each session takes a different creative approach\, with activities designed to spark memories and look at familiar stories from new angles. There’s also plenty of time to relax over a cuppa\, swap stories and get to know the people around the table. Sessions run on the second Tuesday of each month\, 1.30–3.30pm. \n\n\n\nWho Should AttendThis series is for people aged 55 and over who are curious about their own stories\, or keen to hear other people’s. You don’t need to think of yourself as a writer or an artist\, and there’s no pressure to produce polished work. If you’re after relaxed community activities in Inner West Sydney and an easy way of meeting new people\, this is a lovely place to start. \n\n\n\nWhat’s the CostIt’s free. Pens\, notebooks\, collage materials\, art supplies\, tea and coffee are all provided\, though you’re welcome to bring your own favourite materials. Elaine believes that with art\, the journey often matters more than the destination\, and that’s exactly the spirit of these sessions. \n\n\n\nAbout the VenueSessions are held on the ground floor of Little BIG House at the Flour Mill of Summer Hill\, 16 Flour Mill Way\, Summer Hill. Little BIG House is a community hub focused on reducing loneliness and creating spaces where neighbours can find a real sense of belonging. It hosts a range of free events and community programs across the Inner West.

DESCRIPTION:Let’s Sketch DogsEvery 2nd Tuesday\, this inclusive\, all-ages community drawing session is designed to spark creativity and connection. Using dog photos for inspiration\, participants will explore simple\, approachable sketching techniques in a relaxed\, low-pressure environment\, and hopefully leave excited to sketch the dogs in their own neighborhoods. \n\n\n\nThe session begins with a short demonstration\, followed by guided or independent drawing time. Participants may bring their own dog photos or use the provided references. Support is available throughout\, though guests are welcome to work independently and in their own style. \n\n\n\nWho Can AttendAll abilities + ages\, children under 13 are welcome with a parent.

DESCRIPTION:Do you have a thirst for craft beers? \n\n\n\nDo you want to meet other people that share your love for beer? \n\n\n\nOr are you new to craft beer and wanting to venture into the dangerously tasty territory? \n\n\n\nWell you’ve come to the right place! Our Little Beer House has one simple mission: to bring people together over a delicious beer! It is all about community and connection at the Little Beer House. We may not have beer industry backgrounds\, but we sure do have a big appreciation for the taste and we’re excited to share this with you.  \n\n\n\nIn this event you’ll get: \n\n\n\n+ several tastings of beers\, with the line up of styles changing for each event and ranging from your classic pale ales\, to bold delicious NEIPAs\, WCIPAs\, wild ales\, naughty stouts and more! (Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with some of these styles\, we’ll dive into them during the event and possibly all learn something new together!) \n\n\n\n+ awesome discussions around the different styles of beer\, breweries and latest beer news \n\n\n\n+ the opportunity to rate the beers you taste during the event\, which will also determine the range of beers for our ‘best of’ event at the end of the year \n\n\n\n+ opportunities to connect with other people in the community who also love beer and maybe even make some new brew buddies… \n\n\n\nLight snacks (e.g. nuts\, chips\, etc) will also be provided.  \n\n\n\nThis is a strictly 18+ event because alcohol is involved. Purchasing a ticket is a form of declaring you are above the legal age to purchase and consume alcohol (this will also be verified at the event). For those with allergies\, please note we can not guarantee both beers and snacks will be free of any particular or common allergens.
