Volunteers with lived experience are there to listen with empathy\, offer gentle support\, and\, if appropriate\, assist with safety planning or warm referrals to other services. \n\n\n\nWho should attend \n\n\n\nThis space is for adults who may be experiencing loneliness\, mental distress\, suicidal thoughts\, or simply need human connection. You don’t need a diagnosis or referral — just come as you are. If you’re wondering how to stop being lonely\, how to meet new people\, or need a safe place to land\, this space is for you. \n\n\n\nWhat’s the cost \n\n\n\nFree. This is a community-supported service\, ensuring access for anyone who needs it. \n\n\n\nAbout the host \n\n\n\nSafe Space is peer-led and lived-experience driven\, supported by Roses in the Ocean\, a national leader in peer-led suicide prevention.
